AFC Telford to freeze season ticket prices
AFC Telford United managing director Lee Carter has declared a freeze on the cost of season tickets for full paying adults in 2015-16 – or even a reduction.
The Bucks will announce their full season ticket structure on Friday, but Carter said: "The headlines for season tickets are two-fold.
"Firstly, prices for full paying adults will not increase. Adult ticket prices will be frozen if we stay up and reduce if we go down."
Early bird purchases would save fans up to £60, he added.
The club is also planning to offer free match day admission for under-eights who attend games with a full paying adult next season. The announcements were made on the club's website.
Regarding the offers, Carter added: "We have looked at other leisure facilities and local clubs in the Midlands and we recognise it is about getting the balance right.
"We can't please everybody but we think we have matched things as best as we can."
More immediately the Bucks will be trialling a system in conjunction with the Telford & Wrekin loyalty card between now and the end of the season.
That would allow adults to bring up to two children with them free of charge. Carter said: "The aim of this project is to open the club up to new people and grow new supporters."
He also reiterated the club's commitment to establishing a new Under-18 team in the near future, with the club then possibly looking to develop other age group sides.
He said: "We are going to start with the Under-18s but then, maybe, look to develop that into U19s-U21s."
There are no plans at the moment to develop a reserve team. The club also hopes to announce further details regarding its plans for a new training facility in Madeley in May.
