AFC Telford's Liam Watson targets shut-out
AFC Telford United manager Liam Watson today insisted that keeping a clean sheet is the first priority when Colwyn Bay come to the New Bucks Head.
Frank Sinclair's side arrive in Shropshire tomorrow with the home side failing to keep a clean sheet in their opening seven games.
He said: "The alarming fact is that we haven't kept a clean sheet in seven games and that's something we need to eradicate, it's important we get that right.
"I know it's a cliche but the truest thing in football is that you take one game at a time, firstly our aim is to put in a performance tomorrow.
"If we do that, the result will take care of itself. But, at the moment, we are inconsistent. As long as we are up for the fight, we will get there."
The Bucks are set to ditch one of three centre-backs – captain Simon Grand, Neill Byrne or Dan Preston – in a switch to a 4-4-2 formation.
Matthew McGinn's place at left-back is also under threat from Chris Lever, with boss Watson promising to ring the changes after defeat at Bradford Park Avenue.
