Chris Lever in frame for AFC Telford

AFC Telford will give Chris Lever every chance to prove his fitness for tomorrow's trip to Gainsborough Trinity – but Sean Cooke is likely to miss out.

Defender Lever and winger Cooke both trained last night and, barring any reaction, the former should be included in the squad that goes to the Northolme.

A starting place for Lever largely depends on whether he is still feeling any effects of the knee injury he picked up in last weekend's 2-1 win at Gloucester City.

Cooke is also not far off a full recovery from the fractured leg he had when he arrived at the club with this summer, missing all of the pre-season games and the start of the campaign.

Bucks manager Liam Watson wants to see the 20-year-old complete more contact training before throwing him into the fray, so he may be given another week.

Watson has led his side to eight points from four games, drawing at Boston and at home to Solihull Moors on Monday, and believes his side have yet to entertain.

He said: "It's been difficult but it's also been boring, as we haven't played through teams. You end up going a bit longer than you want to go with the ball.

"Our best performance so far was away at Boston, because they come to have a go at us. The other teams didn't and that's why they didn't beat us."
