Cooke has yet to figure for the club after fracturing his leg at the end of last season with his last club, AFC Fylde, before joining The Bucks this summer.

But the 20-year-old – the son of former Shrewsbury Town assistant boss Dave Cooke – trained for an hour on the pitch before Saturday's 2-1 win against Gloucester City at Whaddon Road.

The wide-man will now be put through contact training before he is passed fit to join the squad, with Bucks manager Liam Watson expecting big things of the player.

He said: "Sean's got great quality and he's the type of player who will score a spectacular goal. He's got amazing accuracy with free-kicks in and around the box.

"I think he will become a favourite at Telford. He's got a goal in him which is important. He's another impact player that we can utilise."

Robbie Booth made his league debut for the Bucks as a second-half substitute on Saturday, after receiving international clearance from the Football Association of Wales on Friday night.

The Scouser needed his registration released after last playing for Welsh Premier League side Bangor City and Watson admits it has set the winger back.

He said: "Robbie got it through late on Friday. He was one that deserved to start on the opening day of the season, but the international clearance killed him.

"It's great to have him back."

and he gives us an option. The Welsh FA sent conformation and I got the email from our managing director Lee Carter.

"If he had have been ruled out for Saturday, he would have missed today also as they wouldn't be open. Hopefully, he will have a big part to play now. He's got on the pitch straight away, too.

"I don't know how it's taken so long to send a fax, not from the club's point of view but the Welsh FA, seeing as they are only 20 miles down the road."

Defender Dan Preston was set to miss out again today with an adductor strain and Chris Lever injuring his knee on Saturday opens up a space in the squad that will be filled by Charlie Barnett.
