Andy Owens is aiming to hit the goal trail for AFC Telford
Striker Andy Owens has revealed he is targeting 20 goals for the forthcoming season ahead of AFC Telford's Shropshire Senior Cup final against Market Drayton tonight.
The ex-Southport and Mansfield hitman is expected to be in the squad for the Bucks' second's pre-season match this evening at the New Bucks Head.
And Owens, one of 14 new recruits brought in by manager Liam Watson, will be entering his first full season as a forward in the forthcoming campaign.
He has also played in midfield as well as defence – earning two England C caps – before deciding to become a career centre-forward.
He said: "I have been in between positions for the last few years.
"But Liam obviously recognised my potential as more of an attacking threat. I played left midfield and then finished the 2011-12 season up front.
"Then Mansfield came in and offered me the best deal as a left-back so I went there. Then I came on loan to Southport and played up front last season.
"That is when I decided I want to play up front.
"I will be setting myself a high target – I am thinking 20 goals."
