Happy Adam Farrell off the mark for AFC Telford
New AFC Telford striker Adam Farrell was delighted to get his first goal for the Bucks in Tuesday's Shropshire Senior Cup semi-final win over Shawbury United.
And he is hoping it will be the first of many following his move from AFC Fylde during the close season.
The 6ft 2in hitman netted 17 times for his former club last season, including one against League Two Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup First Round.
He said: "It's always good to get off the mark in your first game. I do set myself a target each season for the amount of goals. Hopefully I will get more than what I set.
"From what I have seen, there is good competition up front."
Farrell said he had enjoyed playing alongside fellow forward Andy Owens, another new recruit, for the first time.
He said: "He's a good player; he gets hold of the ball well, brings players into the game and likes a shot at goal as well."
