AFC Telford close to signing a new midfielder
AFC Telford boss Liam Watson is hopeful of signing a new midfielder within days.
Three players have been on his wanted list and Watson is confident of a deal.
"I am closing in on a young centre midfielder who has experience of playing in the Conference," he said. "Hopefully, by the middle of next week we will be in a position to sign him."
Watson is also bringing in a scout to aid recruitment.
* Market Drayton Town are on the lookout for a new manager for the second time this month following the departure of Dave Richards.
He was unveiled as the new boss less than two weeks ago, but has stepped down because he fears the amount of travelling required would cost him his full-time job.
* Tickets for The New Saints' Champions League second qualifying round home leg against Legia Warsaw go on sale at 9am on Tuesday. The match is at the Glyndwr University Racecourse Stadium, Wrexham (7pm) on July 17.
