Lee Carter will be joined by fellow director Mark Berry and three loyal fans, Stephen White, Joe Heppenstall and Tom Lewis, in a walk from Telford to Conwy, where the Bucks are due to play a pre-season friendly on July 20.

The group aims to raise at least £8,500 for the Bucks and the Crisis Network.

The charity is an informal network of public, private, voluntary and community agencies who work together to support people in crisis across the borough.

Mr Carter said: "We're hoping the walk will raise a good amount of money to support the development of the club through the 2013/14 season and at the same time raise funds for a very worthy cause. The Crisis Network do great work for the community and we'd really like to give their work a huge financial boost.

"It's a real challenge but we are really up for it and it will hopefully become an annual event.

"I also see it as a nice way of thanking the club for allowing me to hold the position that I have since 2004."

The 85-mile walk take place in Wem, Wrexham, Ruthin, Abergele and end at Conwy, over four days, in time for the Bucks kicking off the game against Conwy Borough.
