Cooke, who is the son of former Shrewsbury Town assistant boss Dave Cooke, remembers visiting Telford's stadium with his father as a youngster to watch Shropshire derbies.

The atmosphere in the ground during those games made an impression on him and the 20-year old winger is keen to experience it again next season.

He said: "I used to go to Telford when they played Shrewsbury. Telford had some good players and they got excellent crowds. It is still a club with a great fan base and I'm looking forward to playing there next season."

Cooke joined the Bucks from Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division side AFC Fylde late last month.

But he will have to recover from a fractured leg before he can make his first appearance in front of the Telford faithful.

He suffered the injury during his former club's play-off semi-final defeat to Hednesford Town at the end of last season. But he is expected to be out of plaster within two weeks and after physiotherapy, he should be able to play a full part in pre-season training, which starts on July 2.
