Adam Farrell is signing number seven for Telford
Striker Adam Farrell has become AFC Telford United's seventh new face of the summer.
After a raft of defensive and midfield signings, Bucks boss Liam Watson has begun to shape his frontline with the capture of the former AFC Fylde hit man.
Last week Watson agreed terms with Crewe-based midfielder Sean Cooke, who also finished last term just missing out on promotion to the Blue Square North with the Lancashire outfit.
Farrell's 17 goals fuelled Fylde's promotion drive in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division and he was also on target in an FA Cup derby clash with League Two Accrington Stanley.
The powerful 23-year-old made the switch to the Coasters last summer from Kendal Town and he also has service at Lancaster City and Chorley on his CV.
While Farrell joined Telford's new arrivals, one of 11 players shown the door by the new regime, former skipper Ryan Valentine, revealed plans to pursue a coaching career while he searches for a new club.
The former Wrexham and Darlington defender is also hunting for a full-time job as he recognises the harsher climate hitting the non-league scene.
To help him on his way Valentine, who played 70 games in a two-year stint with the Bucks, has begun coaching the junior section at Spar Mid-Wales outfit Llansantffraid.
He said: "It gets more difficult every year. I have been long enough in the game to realise it might be time to go into full-time employment.
"I'm weighing up my options with a couple of clubs I've spoken to, but I've got to look at travelling distances and so on.
"When I was at Telford I did a bit of part-time work for Mike Davies, the former assistant manager.
"Now I think I will try to get full-time work, although I've finished my UEFA C licence and I will look at the coaching side."
And the defender admitted: "It was a disappointing finish at Telford but I enjoyed the two years I had there.
"While everything went wrong last season, I'm sure with a new manager and a new squad they can do well next season."
