James Spray out to repay AFC Telford faith
AFC Telford striker James Spray is aiming to repay caretaker boss John Psaras's faith in him by hitting his best form for the Bucks.
Spray was just into his second month of a loan spell at Evo-Stik Southern Premier Stourbridge when the interim Bucks chief recalled him to the New Bucks Head to help with the end-of-season relegation battle.
The call came on the same day Psaras took the managerial reins following Graham Hyde's resignation the previous day.
Spray, who joined Telford in the summer, admitted he was both pleased and surprised and he is aiming to repay the belief by performing on the pitch.
Spray, who has scored just twice in 24 appearances for Telford, said: "My loan was up the other week and they wanted to extend it.
"I called Hyde and he said another month would do me good but when he went John Psaras said he wanted me back. It was nice to feel wanted and I was delighted to come back.
"It was a surprise to get that call and I was surprised to hear Hyde had gone after two games. I enjoyed it at Stourbridge but I want to play for Telford. I am happy to get back and hopefully show what I am about."
