Disappointed AFC Telford boss John Psaras was left frustrated by his team's defending during their 5-2 defeat at Woking.

But he also praised the Bucks for their second-half fightback, which brought them from 3-0 down to within a goal of parity in the final 10 minutes, before two further blunders gifted the Cards victory.

The defeat leaves Telford now nine points from safety at the bottom of the Blue Square Premier with seven games left.

Psaras, who took charge of the team for his second game following the departure of previous caretaker boss Graham Hyde, said: "We take credit for how we performed in the second-half but, in the first-half, we were poor.

"I am bitterly disappointed with the result, and bitterly disappointed going down 1-0 from a short corner in the third minute and then conceding another two goals before half-time.

"It gave us a mountain to climb. I was disappointed with a couple of players. I could have took any one of five off in the first half.

"I didn't do it. I made the change at half time. That made a difference. I made another change just into the second half.

"That made a difference and we were in the game. We got it back to 3-2 and we were the better team at that point."

The Bucks lost defender Dan Preston midway through the first half at Woking because of a back injury.

And, with Richard Davies and Jay Smith also currently injured, Psaras added that he will try to bolster his squad in the coming days.
