Ian Bogie rules out taking AFC Telford job
Former Gateshead boss Ian Bogie is out of the running for the permanent AFC Telford manager's job.
Bogie has sent in two CVs to the Bucks in the aftermath of Andy Sinton's departure at the end of January and then Graham Hyde's resignation on Sunday.
But he added that he has since received confirmation that his application has not been successful.
"I received confirmation this morning," said the 45-year-old. "I have been unsuccessful but I'll move on."
Bogie has been looking to get back into work since he was sacked at Gateshead in December after a run of four Blue Square Bet Premier matches without a win.
Prior to that he had earned two successive promotion for the north-east outfit in the 2007-08 and 2008-09.
He then kept the club in the non-league's top flight for the next three seasons, and guided them to an eighth-placed finish last term.
And he said he would not have been put off by the Bucks' current league position at the bottom of the division.
He said: "It's a mammoth task but it is something I would have been interested in. I am interested in speaking to anyone."
Earlier today, Worcester City boss Carl Heeley dismissed speculation on internet forums linking him and assistant boss Matt Gardiner with the permanent managerial post.
He said he had had not contact with the club regarding the post and had been surprised by the rumours.
Worcester City's board are also unaware of any approach for their manager.
Bucks chairman Lee Carter said the club would not be commenting about the managerial search or individuals being linked with the post.
He said: "Our focus is on supporting John Psaras and the team and making sure they give their best effort over the next nine games."
But he added that the club had identified the process and time frame that it wanted to work towards as well as individuals they intend to speak to.
