Blog: Where is it going to end for AFC Telford?
Friday used to be a good news day for signings but now it seems to be the day we descend into chaos, writes AFC Telford blogger Rob Hughes.
The news that Mark Cooper has departed means it's a club in crisis and a sorry state at the moment.
I just don't know where to start with all this. I can't see us surviving in the Blue Square Premier, I want us to but I just can't see it, we're really struggling now.
Cooper was the best man for the job at the time but it was such a short tenure.
We were able to see the shortcomings he inherited and even Cooper's fresh ideas and approach was not able to change it that quickly.
The chairman talks about a united front needed and, as supporters of AFC?Telford, the first thing we want is everyone in the side pulling together for the good of the club.
That's not been seen for months, even with the fresh thinking of Cooper.
He wasn't able to turn things around at the drop of a hat. The problems can't all be changed and solved by one person, it's just not possible.
It seems to be a poisoned chalice. You're dammed if you do and you're dammed if you don't.
I wish Graham Hyde and John (Psaras) all the best of luck and hopefully the players will want to show a bit of fighting spirit we all desperately want to see, starting at Mansfield tomorrow
If that wasn't all bad enough, then we findKidderminster are after our central defender Jordan Rose.
We still need to offer him a contract to stop him leaving on a free at the end of the season. We need to look after ourselves and he is a player who should be making us money.
We can't loan him out until the end of the season and then just let him leave for free.
Let's hope we can pick up three points tomorrow and end another traumatic week at the New Bucks Head on a positive note.
