Jake Reid feels for the AFC Telford supporters
AFC Telford striker Jake Reid today admitted he understands supporters frustrations at the club's spiralling winless run in the Blue Square Premier.
And the forward told of how the unenviable sequence, which stretched to 21 league games with Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Newport County, has also been painful for the club's players.
However, Reid remains convinced that the Bucks can stop the rot and turn their dwindling season around.
Telford will travel to Mansfield on Saturday four points adrift of safety at the bottom of the Blue Square Bet Premier.
And they will not be fancied by many to take the points against promotion contenders Mansfield, who will start the day in fourth place.
But Reid, who has scored four times for the Bucks since Christmas, is still adamant the team can rediscover the winning formula.
He said: "It is difficult for everyone. Nobody should be under the illusion that people are fine with it.
"It is tough and the longer it goes on it seems like the harder it is to get out of.
"The law of averages says we must win a game soon but it is tough. But if we apply ourselves I firmly believe we will turn it round."
