AFC Telford appoint Mark Cooper as boss
AFC Telford United have confirmed Mark Cooper as interim first-team manager just hours after the departure of former boss Andy Sinton.
The former Tamworth, Kettering Town, Peterborough United and Darlington boss will take charge until the end of the season.
Assistant Manager Graham Hyde and first-team coach John Psaras will remain at the club.
Cooper will take up his new post with immediate effect, starting with the visit of Cambridge United to the New Bucks Head on Saturday.
Managing director Lee Carter said: "We are very excited to have Mark on board and now urge all of our fans to get behind him and the team for the remainder of the season.
"We have 16 cup finals between now and the end of the season and we want our supporters right behind us.
"They say there are no guarantees in football, but one thing I can promise you is that we will be working night and day to keep this club in the Blue Square Premier."
