AFC Telford boss urges Luke Hubbins to be creative
WINGER Luke Hubbins has been challenged to 'make a difference' for struggling AFC Telford in the coming weeks following his return to the side.
Bucks boss Andy Sinton has been aiming to add some extra creativity to his team in recent weeks.
He wants his side to snap their 15-game winless run in the league and climb out of the relegation zone.
Sinton believes that the recent return of quick-footed wide man Hubbins helps improve the team's attacking prowess.
Hubbins, who arrived at the New Bucks Head in the summer, missed three games prior to last Saturday's home match against Alfreton because of the birth of his child.
A hamstring injury in September also disrupted a fine start to the season for him.
That early season form was all the more impressive because Hubbins, a Muslim, was fasting in daylight hours for Ramadan at the start of the campaign.
Sinton said: "Luke has had various problems. Fasting, which we accept; injury, which we accept; the birth of the baby, which we accept – but now let's get 17 games from him where he is at full tilt and he can make a difference, because he can."
In other news, the club have confirmed there are still spaces available on the official supporters coach travelling to Kidderminster Harriers on Tuesday (7.45pm).
The coaches leave Madeley at 5.15pm and the New Bucks Head at 5.30pm and the cost is £12 per person.
To book a place, call or text the names of people travelling to 07966 935534 or call the club office on 01952 640064.
