Chris Sharp's time as an AFC Telford player could be coming to an end while a second player also looks set to leave the New Bucks Head next month.

Manager Andy Sinton confirmed Telford have been approached by another conference outfit regarding a possible deal for Sharp, while another Bucks player is planning to emigrate in January.

Sinton did not name either the club which has come in for Sharp, or the other player likely to depart, although he confirmed he did not play in yesterday's 4-1 Blue Square Premier defeat at Wrexham.

But the Bucks boss added that the wheels were also "in motion" to replace departing players and he was hopeful that 'two or three' new faces will be arriving when the transfer window opens next week.

Regarding the Sharp deal, he revealed: "I can't say a great deal but we had an inquiry from a team about three weeks ago that led to nothing.

"That inquiry has intensified over the last few days. I think chairman spoke to chairman.

"It's a non-league club, it's a full-time club and, if the fee is right, Chris would probably express a desire to go on, I have got to respect that and so has everyone.

"I don't want to say too much until it definitely happens, but that is where we are."

Sharp was left out of yesterday's squad as a result of the deal, with Sinton saying: "I've got no mileage in picking a side that does well at Wrexham and then have to break it up for Saturday."

He added: "We have got one lad who came to see me a couple of weeks ago and said he was going to look to emigrate in January.

"He didn't feature yesterday and the wheels are in motion to replace that one."

Regarding progress on his own transfer targets, Sinton, who saw his side slip a place to 20th as a result of yesterday's defeat, said: "I have had a couple of interesting conversations over the last week.

"I need to speak to my board, who I know will be supportive as much as they can be. If there are two or three going out I would like to bring in two or three.

"That could add to what we have got and just freshen us up."
