A Phil Trainer goal three minutes from time rescued a point for Telford at home to struggling Lincoln City.

The midfielder's close range finish, after the Imps failed to clear, cancelled out Vadaine Oliver's first half header.

New signing Darren Byfield had almost grabbed a debut goal for Telford after six minutes when his turning shot sailed just over the bar.

But Graham Hutchison and Jake Sheridan both missed the target with far better chances at the other end as Lincoln settled.

Oliver missed two further gilt-edged chances before finally making the Imps' pressure count when he nodded home from Nicky Nicolau's left wing corner two minutes before half time.

Young pushed another Oliver effort against the bar in first half stoppage time but Telford lost Ryan Valentine to injury four minutes after the break, to be replaced by Jon Brown.

A brilliant Paul Farman double save denied Steve Jones first with his head and then with his feet after Steve Leslie's cross caused havoc midway through the second half.

But Trainer ensured the Bucks would take a point from the game after he tapped home Will Salmon's cross.
