Former Telford midfielder Jon Adams has backed his former side to continue their impressive start.

Adams joined Nuneaton Town in the summer after a lengthy spell at the New Bucks Head but has admitted he still keeps an eye out for Telford's results.

And he is convinced the Bucks can continue to build on their promising start to the season, which has seen them win three and draw two of their opening seven games, despite the 3-1 loss at Nuneaton Tuesday.

"I keep in touch with quite a few of the boys and I keep an eye on how they are doing," he said.

"I know they have had a good start, they have got plenty of players who can play at this level and I think they will be fine this season.

"They are always going to attract decent players. They are still building, as ourselves are, and they will keep moving forward I'm sure."

Adams, who came on as a second-half substitute, was one of five former Telford players in the Nuneaton squad on Tuesday.
