AFC Telford United ready to complete Jordan Rose signing

Defender Jordan Rose is expected to be signed by AFC Telford on contract terms today following four impressive performances since arriving on a non-contract deal.

The centre-back has helped Bucks to 10 points from four games, including three clean sheets, since his arrival just over two weeks ago.

Boss Andy Sinton said last weekend that the club would sit down with Rose to discuss upgrading his current deal.

And the Bucks chief has now said he expects to sign the former Stockport man on a permanent deal later today. The length of the contract is not yet known but Sinton is aiming to sign Rose for the rest of the season.

"We'll sign Jordan today," he said. "I have got an agreement. Whether it's until the end of December when the window opens again or for the rest of the season I don't know.

"But we'll be singing him hopefully for the rest of the season."

Sinton revealed that there has been interest from other clubs about Rose during the transfer window.

He said: "We have had a couple of inquiries but I sat down with Jordan the other day and he wants to be here and he will be here."

Meanwhile, Sinton's squad has received a further boost as attacker Joe Yoffe has received international clearance to play, having joined during the summer.

But international clearance for ex-The New Saints defender Tom Roberts is yet to come through, Sinton has said.

Sinton has also revealed that he did try to bolster his further squad ahead of the transfer window deadline on Friday.
