AFC Telford defender Dan Preston will miss six matches after being hit with an additional three-game ban for violent conduct.

The centre-back is already one game into a three-match suspension for his sending off in Telford's 1-0 win at Luton Town last Saturday.

But he was later charged with violent conduct in relation to an on-field incident during the same game at Kenilworth Road which was not seen by the match officials but was caught on video. The offence carries an automatic three-match suspension.

The FA yesterday said that the player had accepted the charge but the three-game ban had been disputed.

But the Bucks have now released a statement saying: "The club have been notified by the FA Regulatory Commission that Dan Preston's appeal against the charge of violent conduct during the game at Luton Town was dismissed.

"Therefore, he will be subject to an additional three-match suspension, which will commence upon completion of his current suspension."

Preston did not feature in Telford's match against Stockport on Monday and was already out of today's game at Southport as well as Tuesday's trip to Nuneaton. He now misses the Lincoln City, Cambridge United and Mansfield fixtures.
