AFC Telford boss Andy Sinton up for challenge of tough rivals

AFC Telford's bank holiday Monday clash with Stockport County will complete a 'fantastic' double-header, pitting them against two of the Blue Square Bet Premier League's biggest sides, says Bucks boss Andy Sinton.

The Edgeley Park outfit will visit the New Bucks Head just two days after today's clash at league favourites Luton Town.

The fixtures are two of the most difficult in the division, but Sinton believes it is games against the former Football League heavyweights that prove exactly how far the club has come in the last two years.

He said: "I don't mean to be disrespectful in any way, but two years ago we were playing the likes of Stafford Rangers and Redditch United over a Bank Holiday weekend, whereas now we find ourselves away at Luton Town and at home to Stockport County. That's fantastic and that's where you want to be."

But Sinton added that it was important not to over-emphasise the importance of particular opponents.

"Luton is no more important than Braintree, Braintree is no more important than Forest Green. Every game has got to treated on it's merits, otherwise you come unstuck," he said.

Meanwhile Bucks winger Luke Hubbins believes his form will get even better now Ramadan has come to an end.

Hubbins has enjoyed an impressive start to the new season, but began the campaign while fasting.

The former Birmingham City player said: "Hopefully I will play better. I have been combining fasting and playing for the last four or five years now. It's about making sure that you get the food intake at night."
