Chairman Lee Carter has hailed the strides being made at AFC Telford.
The club this week announced free entry for Tuesday's rescheduled game against Tamworth and then it was revealed the New Bucks Head will be one of the host stadiums for the 2014 UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championships.
Carter is proud of the strides the club is making and is keen for the steady progress to continue.
"We are a good, honest, part-time football club and that is why it is important that we hang on where we are," he said.
"Telford fans could never have dreamt they would be playing in the same league as the likes of Luton, Grimsby, Lincoln and Stockport.
"Those were the sort of teams we used to beat in the FA Cup back in the 1980s!
"What we want to do now is build the profile of the club, build the gates and get everyone to buy into our long-term vision."
Carter is aware though, of the fate that has befallen the likes of Rushden & Diamonds and Boston United.
Both those clubs spent money readily to get their clubs into the Football League, and then suffered when the success could not be sustained.
"The danger is you can sometimes get carried away and spend too much money chasing success," Carter said.
