AFC Telford defender Sean Newton joins Stockport on loan

AFC Telford United full-back Sean Newton has made a deadline day move to Conference rivals Stockport County on loan until the end of the season.

The deal sees will see Telford receive an undisclosed loan fee, with an option for Stockport to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

23-year-old Newton, who joined the club in 2009, took to Twitter to bid his farewell to the club, writing: "Would thank to thank all the messages of AFC TU fans, really appreciate it and wish the boys, fans and club all the best from now until the end of the season."
