On-loan Lincoln City defender Robbie Williams admits he finds himself in a unique situation should he line up against parent club AFC Telford United tomorrow.

Williams is on loan at Sincil Bank from the Bucks and is set for a starting spot in the crunch Blue Square Bet Premier clash.

And the situation is made even more complicated by the fact that Williams could be marking Kyle Perry – himself on loan at Telford from Lincoln.

"I've never been in this situation before," he said. "I have been on loan before but usually when you're playing against your own club you're not allowed to play.

"It will be a strange one if I am playing and Kyle is playing. I know Kyle quite well. He's a strong player and it will be a difficult contest but I'm looking forward to it."

The 24-year-old admits he hasn't passed any inside information to the Imps – because he doesn't know half the Telford players!

"Even since I left there has been a lot of players coming and going," said Williams.

"I think there was more than 30 on the books when I was there and now they're down to about 23 or 24.

"I still know a few of the lads there, the likes of Sean Newton who I used to travel with, and Shane Killock, so there is always a bit of banter flying around there."

Williams, who also spent time on loan at Altrincham this season, is unsure whether he will return to the New Bucks Head when his loan expires.

"At the moment I'm still open minded," added Williams. "I think I would like to stay full-time.

I'm enjoying my football at Lincoln and I want to stay in the Conference. I don't know of any plans Telford have to go full time but we'll wait and see.

"I haven't even kicked a competitive ball for Telford. It was unfortunate I got injured just before the start of the season, then Telford had such a good start that I couldn't get back in."
