AFC Telford United boss Andy Sinton enjoyed a successful transfer deadline day – completing two loan signings.

Oldham striker Ryan Brooke has joined for a month, while Southport winger Jonathan Brown will stay with the club until the end of the season.

The pair will go straight into the squad for Saturday's Blue Square Bet Premier clash at home to Forest Green Rovers.

Brooke, 21, has made 29 appearances for League One side Oldham, scoring two goals. He also had a loan spell at Barrow earlier this season.

"I've seen him three or four times for Oldham reserves," said Sinton. "He's mobile and he's a good finisher."

Right-winger Brown, also 21, started his career at Cardiff and has had a loan spell at Wrexham as well as spending a year in Australia.

He has made 19 appearances for Southport this season and the terms of the loan mean that he will not be able to play against his parent club when the sides meet at the New Bucks Head on March 10.

Meanwhile, Sinton also confirmed forward Marlon Jackson had returned to Bristol City after being ruled out with a hamstring injury.

"We'll take him back as as soon as he's fit and Derek McInnes (Bristol City boss) has agreed," said Sinton."

There were also three departures from the club on deadline day – with James Reid, Courtney Pitt and Craig Farrell being released.

Reid has spent recent weeks on loan at Ilkeston and is now expected to seal a permanent move to the Evo-Stik League division one south club.
