Long-serving midfielder Jon Adams insists he will be back at AFC Telford United - after agreeing to join old club Leamington on loan.
The 27-year-old earned a place in the club's record books earlier this season, when he became only the third player to reach 200 appearances in a Telford shirt.
But he has struggled for first team football in recent weeks and has reluctantly agreed to link up with the Brakes - from whom he joined Telford in 2007 - in order to boost his match fitness. He made his debut in a 1-1 draw at home to Oxford City on Saturday.
"I don't think it's any secret that I love playing for Telford and, long-term, it's where I want to be," said Adams.
"Things have been a bit dfifficult this season - I had a run in the side but recently I've been out of the picture.
"It's frustrating but I've got to use this opportunity to go and get some minutes under my belt and make an impression.
"I've got a month away but then I want to be back at Telford."
Adams started his career as a youngster with the now-defunct Rushden & Diamonds, who were in the Football League at the time.
And having been released from the Northamptonshire outfit as a teenager, he has had to play a long waiting game to reach the Blue Square Bet Premier.
"I've worked too hard and too long to get to this level to let it get away from me now," he added.
"It's taken me seven years to get here from when I was released by Rushden as a 19-year-old.
"The manager there told me I had to be looking to get into the Conference and I'm not ready to let go now I've got there."
