Boss Andy Sinton today fired a warning shot to improving AFC Telford United ahead of tomorrow's trip to basement boys Bath City, insisting: "We cannot take them lightly."
The Bucks head to Twerton Park on the back of a three-game unbeaten run and lifted by Tuesday's 1-1 draw away to non-League big guns Luton Town.
But Sinton insists that Bath, who are 13 points behind Telford and rock bottom of the Blue Square Bet Premier, have been producing performances at odds with that lowly status.
"I've spoken to two or three managers this week and, even though the league table might say they are struggling, they are actually playing quite well at the minute," said Sinton.
"They should have beaten Cambridge down there on Tuesday (in a game that finished 1-1) and they've signed a couple of players from Bristol City who are going to improve them.
"I sent a warning shot to the players straight after Tuesday's game.
"We're not a club who can treat anyone lightly at the level we are at.
"When they played at our place a couple of months ago I thought they played quite well even though we won the game 2-1.
"We can go there feeling confident but we won't be under-estimating them in any way, shape or form."
Telford will still be without leading scorer Chris Sharp, the former TNS man serving the second of a three-game ban following his sending off against Barrow last Saturday.
Leicester loanee Elliott Chamberlain is struggling, the striker having had to be withdrawn from the squad after pulling up with breathing difficulties in the warm-up at Luton.
"He's been checked out by a doctor and there doesn't seem to be anything too untoward but it seems he got a knock in the game last week that he didn't notice at the time," said Sinton.
