Chairman Lee Carter has revealed AFC Telford United are "very close" to agreeing a new deal with promotion-winning manager Andy Sinton.
The Bucks hierarchy have stated their intention to try and extend the contract of the former England international, which still has another season to run.
And Carter, pleased with the way talks are progressing, is expecting a positive outcome in the next week.
"We are very close to getting it all agreed with Andy," said the Bucks supremo.
"It's unfortunate because we had a mutual agreement to sit down and talk with Andy at the end of the season.
"But we have had all the furore of getting promoted and everyone else's season has also ended so it becomes a very busy time in terms of talking to players and putting plans in place.
"The Board have agreed how we want to reward Andy and I'm sure everything will be agreed within the next week or so."
While the Bucks managerial position remains a part-time position, Sinton's decision to leave his 'day job' working for an alarm company in February has allowed him to allocate a greater deal of time to his football role.
Sinton said: "It hasn't made a great deal of difference other than it means a lot of the football stuff that had to wait until after 5pm in the past can be done during the day now."
And he is reaping the benefits of that now as he stages a talks with potential new signings.
"There isn't anything definite yet but I'm having lots of meetings here, there and everywhere," he added.
"The talks have been positive so far."
