Boss Andy Sinton is aiming to strengthen a winning AFC Telford United team with the addition of an attacking loan signing.
The Bucks extended their unbeaten run in the Blue Square Bet North to six games with an impressive 3-0 victory away at play-off contenders Guiseley on Saturday.
But Sinton believes now is the perfect time to add to his options - and may have a new face on board in time for tomorrow night's re-arranged clash at home to Gainsborough Trinity.
"As well as we're doing, I would like to strengthen the squad," said Sinton.
"I'm close to signing a player and I'll hopefully get that done over the next couple of days. That would be a more forward-thinking player who has played in the League and would give us something different.
"The lads are doing great but you can never rest on your laurels — I always say the most important game is your next one and they have to give me the same performance tomorrow that they did on Saturday."
Sinton believes the win at Guiseley —secured thanks to goals from Andy Brown, Carl Rodgers and Jon Adams — has sent out a clear signal to their promotion rivals.
Telford remain third in the table, behind leaders Nuneaton and an Alfreton side who also have games in hand.
But Sinton is convinced his side can still come out on top if they maintain their high standards and show belief in their ability.
"We've got a dressing room that is full of character and starting to believe — though I still don't think they believe as much as I do," he said. "Going to Guiseley and winning 3-0 sends a great message out to the rest of the league."
