AFC Telford set to recall Adam Proudlock?

Top scorer Adam Proudlock could be set for a recall for AFC Telford United's crunch trip to Blue Square Bet North promotion rivals Guiseley tomorrow.

The 29-year-old, who has scored 11 goals this season, has not started a game since the end of January following an ankle injury picked up in training.

But Sinton is considering throwing him back into the fray at Nethermoor Park, insisting his team need to start taking more responsibility in front of goal.

"It may be time for Adam Proudlock to come back in," said Sinton.

"It may be time for Adam Proudlock to come back in," said Sinton. "I'm not saying he will definitely start tomorrow but he is fit again and he's raring to go. We do need to be more ruthless and we need people to step up to the plate - there are areas of the team that have got to contribute more goals.

"The goals per game ratio of some of the players in attacking areas is not too good - we can't just rely on Andy Brown, Adam Proudlock and Phil Trainer to score all the goals."

Guiseley slipped to a surprise 2-1 defeat at home to Vauxhall Motors on Tuesday for what was only their third league loss of the season.

But Telford will not fall into the trap of taking them lightly, Sinton having been impressed by the Yorkshire outfit when the Bucks beat them 1-0 back in November.

"For 45 minutes they were the best side we've played this season," said Sinton.
