Sinton moved fast to complete the loan, having learned of interest from two clubs in the same division and one from the league above. And he insists he is looking for more recruits to boost his side's promotion chances.
"Lee's not going to be the only one, I will be looking for two or three more," Sinton confirmed.
"This is the time to strengthen because players will dip a little bit after 22, 23 games of the season. Maybe there has to be a little bit of rotation to keep things fresh. I'm delighted to get Lee and I'm keeping tabs on a couple more."
Sinton also admitted he would be interested in extending Smith's loan - or even completing a permanent deal - if all parties are happy when the current arrangement comes to an end.
"We'll see how it goes and if he does well then we may look at getting him for the rest of the season," he said.
"Forest Green are now full-time but he's only part-time and has a reasonable job. If he is looking for an out from there then we would certainly be interested."
Telford will play Eastwood Town in the FA Trophy at the New Bucks Head on Saturday after they beat Rushden 4-3 last night.
