West Brom v Millwall preview: Home comforts can help end Baggies’ run of draws
Albion will return to familiar terrain when they welcome Millwall to The Hawthorns tomorrow.
The Baggies have spent the previous two outings on the road – registering back-to-back draws against Bristol City (0-0) and Watford (2-2) respectively.
Although a point in either game is by no means a negative result, home form will undoubtedly be decisive for Albion this term.
They have now gone six matches without an away win in the Championship (three draws, three defeats), whereas home form makes for much better reading, despite losing 2-1 at the hands of Huddersfield on their last showing at The Hawthorns.
Carlos Corberan’s men have lost just twice from their last 17 home matches in the league (12 wins, three draws).
They’ve also registered six points from a possible nine so far at The Hawthorns, which accounts for two thirds of their points total.
The visit of Millwall will also see Albion skipper Jed Wallace come up against his former club. Wallace won the League One play-offs with the Lions in 2017, and went on to score 42 goals and set up 49 more in 260 appearances for the club.
