Market Drayton Town sack boss Dorian Garner
Market Drayton Town will go into tonight's game against Leek United without a full-time manager after parting company with boss Dorian Garner.
A statement from chairwoman Nicky Millington confirmed Garner was dismissed yesterday and director of football Mick Murphy taking charge over the Christmas period.
Ms Millington said: "On Tuesday the board of Market Drayton Town FC informed the manager, Mr Dorian Garner that his services were no longer required at the club.
"The board would like to place on record their thanks for his time at the club and wish him well for the future.
"The club will be led over the Christmas period by Director of Football at the club, Mick Murphy.
"Mick is a UEFA A Licensed coach with vast experience of both the club and the Northern Premier League. He will be assisted by Martyn Davies and Kevin Street."
Drayton are currently third bottom of The Evo-Stik League Northern Premier division.
