The brave attempt of Shropshire to win a third Drakes Pride County Championship title came up short with defeat to Yorkshire.
They were beaten by 30 in the home leg at Donnington Wood, while the away side went down by 40 at Newsome in Huddersfield.
But there was brighter news for Shropshire ladies who ran out winners of the Waterloo Consolation Cup as they beat Cumbria by 65 chalks in Blackpool.
