The Saints start as firm favourites against the Bluebirds, who were well beaten 4-0 by the defending champions on the opening day of the Welsh Premier season.

But boss Craig Harrison is anticipating a tricky quarter-final encounter, particularly with half a dozen of his high-flying side currently on the treatment table.

"We won at Haverfordwest on the first day and everyone expected them to be at the bottom of the table and relegation material," he said.

"But they have done well since then, they have been positive, tried to score goals and have had some very good results.

"They will come here looking to be positive, but this is a cup we want to win again. We're on a good run and we want to keep it going."

Front-runner Ryan Edwards, who scored the first goal in Friday's 2-0 win at Bangor City, is out after suffering an ankle ligaments injury during the game that saw the Saints maintain their five point advantage at the top of the Welsh Premier table.

Striker Mike Wilde is also likely to miss out along with defender Connell Rawlinson, winger Jamie Mullan and midfielder Danny Gossett.
