Webster enjoyed two overall victories on the night, and came close to adding another in a fine display on the baize.

She was crowned singles champion after beating her Seven Stars club-mate Cheryl Leath 3-1 in the final.

Webster also helped Stars to victory in the three-a-side competition as well as to the runners-up spot in the league.

They came behind all-conquering Masonic, who were rewarded for an excellent season with an impressive league and cup double.

A triple celebration has been on the cards for Webster, but she was unable to replicate her singles triumph in the mixed doubles despite reaching the last stage of the competition.

She finished runner-up with Jon Sykes to winners Bugsy Brooks and Tracey Williams, who were another Seven Stars combination, in final.

The women's doubles final saw Tammy Hancox and Tracy Haigh from the Rock beat Tina Howells and Ang Milton from the Brooklands 3-1 to claim the silverware.

Organisers were delighted with the way the night went, and they said that it had been 'a fantastic evening.'

They also extended a public thank you to everyone who attended as well as Marg for providing a buffet and Jason for providing the entertainment.

The commitee also thanked this year's league sponsors again for their continued support.

The league has been backed by the Coach Inn, in association with Molson Coors, G I Motors, IPS Safety Netting, Sharps Roofing, Masonic and DAF Refrigerated Light Haulage.

This year's AGM will be held at the Masonic on Thursday, September 3. The event will start at 8pm.
