The 56-year-old, who has previously managed Bradford and Wigan in the top-flight, took his seat in the Greenfields dug-out for the first time last night.

Drayton defeated the New Saints 5-2 in the Shropshire Senior Cup quarter-finals with a hat-trick from Neville Thompson and strikes from Chris Peel and Ken Renshaw.

Hutchings will serve as assistant boss to new manager Lee Ebden at the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South side.

Drayton will meet AFC Telford or Shawbury United in the play-off final next Monday. The winners of that tie will take on Shrewsbury Town in the final at the Greenhous Meadow.
