Bylet will stage a team meeting tonight ahead of their quest to become the great survivors of Shropshire bowls again – amid doubts over their star performer.
Craig Owen suffered a health scare last weekend and there are question marks over his participation in the Furrows Shropshire Premier League play-off against Hanwood at St Georges tomorrow night.
His absence would represent a major blow for Bylet with Owen the most prolific winner of the campaign for the basement boys, with 13 wins from 25 games.
Owen – who also won the County Father and Son with his dad Sam this year – declined to discuss the issue.
But captain Kevin Brazier insists spirits are high as the Bridgnorth club attempt to survive the play-offs for a second successive year after defeating Burway 12 months ago.
