Boss Andy Sinton has set AFC Telford United's sights on a dream run to Wembley, insisting: "We can win the FA Trophy."

The Bucks booked their place in the first round proper thanks to a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Corby on Saturday.

They have been drawn away to Harrogate or Witton Albion, who have a replay on Wednesday evening, on Saturday, December 11.

And Sinton now wants to try and write a new chapter in the Bucks' Trophy history - by adding to the old Telford United's five Wembley finals.

Teams from outside the non-League top flight last won the Trophy in 2002 and 2003 - Burscough and Hednesford coming out on top - and the Telford chief sees no reason why that should not happen again.

He is also eager to make amends in knockout football after the Bucks' shock FA Cup elimination by Buxton last month.

"I was disappointed in the FA Cup because we should have been in the next round," said Sinton.

"But we've bounced back since then and we want to go as far as we can in the Trophy - I want to win it, that's why we're in the competition.

"It's a fantastic competition and Wembley's a great venue to play at. Why can't it be our year?"

Telford's match-winner on Saturday was midfielder Jon Adams, who scored his first goal of the season to complete the comeback.

And Sinton paid tribute to the 25-year-old, declaring: "He does a lot of stuff that to Joe Public and the fans goes unmissed, but I know as a manager what I'm going to get.

"He fits into the way we play and he's done a super job all season.

"I was delighted for him that he got us the winning goal — and he actually made the first goal as well with a terrific delivery."
