Goalkeeper Ryan Young helped AFC Telford United to a stunning win at Droylsden - on a night that saw him take over as the club's record appearance maker. The 30-year-old made a fabulous double save as his side won 4-2 at the Butchers Arms Ground last night to jump to third in the Blue Square Bet North. That was a fitting way for Young to mark his 187th game for the club, a figure that takes him clear of former right-back Lee Vaughan - who moved to Kidderminster Harriers in the summer. "I'm delighted to get the record and hopefully I can go on and play another 187 games now," said Young.

"I'm delighted to get the record and hopefully I can go on and play another 187 games now," said Young.
"I love this club and I'd like to stay a lot longer. I'm enjoying my football and it's quite an achievement for me.
"It was a great win last night," he added. "It wasn't a bad way for me to get my 187th game and I made a couple of good saves, which I enjoyed."
Boss Andy Sinton, who showed faith in Young by offering him a new contract during the close season, also paid his own tribute to the record breaker.
"It's a credit to him," said Sinton. "I think he's as good as anything in the league."
The Bucks boss was thrilled by the way his side responded to Saturday's 4-2 defeat at home to Solihull.
And, after seeing them get back to winning ways, he urged them to grow in confidence and push on.
"Let's get on a roll and start believing in ourselves," he said. "I wouldn't shout it from the rooftops but I think we're capable of doing something. As a group they've been absolutely fantastic - I'm very proud of them."
Defender Stuart Whitehead went off at half-time last night with a hamstring injury.
