Frustrated boss Andy Sinton will tonight take Andy Brown to see a top specialist in a bid to get AFC Telford's star striker back in action.

Brown missed Saturday's 1-0 win at Stalybridge Celtic, the club's medical staff ruling him out due to continuing problems with his troublesome hamstrings.

The 24-year-old, who has five goals to his name so far this term, has been hampered by on-going difficulties with tight hamstrings for the past 18 months.

"Andy's going to see someone that I trust because I'm very frustrated at the length of time it's taken to sort this out," said the Bucks boss.

"It doesn't seem to be any further forward than it was at the start of the season.

"I'm going with him tonight so see someone who used to be in the pro game and has all the testing equipment.

"We'll be able to find out there and then what the problem is and get to the bottom of it at last.

"The club are paying him good money to be sitting in the stands at the moment and I'm sure Andy is as frustrated as I am," added Sinton.

"We are a better team when Andy plays and we need to get him fully fit."

Meanwhile, Telford went down 2-1 to a West Bromwich Albion under-21s team in a squad game at the New Bucks Head last night.

Albion included former Shrewsbury loanee Luke Daniels in goal, though he was powerless to stop Steve Abbott putting AFCTelford in front before the visitors hit back.

Sinton gave a run-out to former Darlington and Barrow winger Carlos Logan, who is a free agent after being released by Hyde.

But plans to take a look at former Aston Villa youngster Kofi Poyser - who scored in last season's FA Youth Cup final defeat to Chelsea - had to be put on hold as the striker could not get to the game.
