Full-back Ashley Woolliscroft is back at AFC Telford United after completing a month's loan with rivals Stafford Rangers - but his stay could be short-lived.

The 30-year-old played every game of his spell at Marston Road and Bucks boss Andy Sinton is now keen to loan him out again so that he does not lose the match fitness he has gained.

Woolliscroft's short-term chances of breaking into the Telford team are limited by the form of right-back Will Salmon.

But it is not clear whether a return to Stafford is on the cards with Chris Brindley, the man who signed him, having since left Rangers to be replaced by former England goalkeeper Tim Flowers.

"We'll have to wait and see what Stafford say," said Sinton.

"I would possibly be open to him going back there if they wanted that because Will Salmon's form has been very consistent and I thought he was outstanding in our last game (a 0-0 draw at Alfreton).

"It really depends on what Stafford are willing to contribute (to the player's wages) — it will be interesting to see what Tim Flowers wants to do.

"We sent Ash out to get games and we don't want him to be sitting around not playing now," added Sinton.

Meanwhile, the Telford chief is hopeful striker Andy Brown, who has been struggling with an ankle injury, might be fit to return to training tonight.

Left-back Sean Newton is also back in training after a foot injury. And Sinton is also confident captain Shane Killock will be fit for the trip to Stalybridge on Saturday, after suffering with a back problem.
