Archibald Worthington may have gone down 8-6 (agg 11) in a re-arranged game at Ford last night, but that was still enough to confirm their safety.
Their six winners in their best away show of the season means they are now 15 points clear of Bridgnorth-based Bylet with just one game left tomorrow night.
Bylet now face the prospect of having to win a crunch play-off match to avoid becoming the first side to be relegated from the league twice - having first gone down in 2001 before coming back in 2007.
Meanwhile, Abbey - who are bidding to win either the Worthington Mid Shropshire or Mistral Highley leagues - have now formally submitted an application to play in the pre play-offs.
Hanwood, Craven Arms, Hanmer and Burway had already expressed an interest in competing for a place in the Premier League.
Craven Arms are within touching distance of winning the Ludlow League after their 10-0 home victory - ironically against Bylet's Ludlow League side - last night. The south Shropshire team secured the whitewash with a 111 aggregate.
