AFC Telford United may have to rest striker Andy Brown as the Bucks head into a busy early-season fixture period.
Brown, who has netted two goals in the opening two games of the season, has been struggling with a hamstring injury since the beginning of the campaign.
And with Telford facing four games in nine days starting with Saturday's trip to Gainsborough, Bucks coach John Psaras admits the striker may struggle to cope.
He said: "We've got games coming thick and fast now and it's important to have someone like Andy available. He's got tight hamstrings but he is getting through the games and is doing his job by scoring goals.
"It might be that for long term benefit we just need to give him a break for a game.
"Obviously we don't want to leave someone out who is scoring but we have to manage the injury properly."
But Psaras is sure the squad would be able to cope with Brown's absence, with fellow striker Danny Care-Bertram closing in on a return from his own hamstring injury.
He added: "We've got James Lawrie on the bench at the minute and Steve Abbot is an experienced player who can come in.
"We've still got Danny Carey-Bertram to come back. Saturday will probably come too soon for him but we did some work last week and he took part and he was looking sharp."
Meanwhile, the club is unlikely to appeal goalkeeper Ryan Young's red card in Tuesday's 1-0 victory over Vauxhall Motors.
Young is expected to be given a one-game ban which does not come into effect for two weeks.
And Psaras added the Bucks may also look to bring in a goalkeeper on a short term deal to cover for 18-year-old Daniel Platt, who excelled on his debut in midweek.
