That was the stark warning from the club's 1976 county champion Steve Williams ahead of tomorrow's winner-takes-all play-off with Premier wooden spoonsists Newport at British Sugar (7pm).

Williams was one of 10 Pontesbury winners as the Tanners Shopshire League champions saw off District by 53 shots in last night's 'pre play-off' tie at Donnington Wood.

"It's pleasing to get to the play-off final but I think it's going to be hard against Newport," stressed Williams.

"I think we have got to up our game by 10 per cent to stand a chance.

"It's some time since we played at British Sugar and Newport will know more about the green."

Club officials at British Sugar will be on hand tomorrow night to help with parking for the expected large crowd.
