Glamour and good fun at Shrewsbury Grange School leavers ball
It lends a whole new meaning to arriving for the school prom in style - as students rolled up on mobility scooters.
The pupils at The Grange School in Shrewsbury, did a lap of honour in the school yard, as The Grange is one of the few schools to hold its Year 11 leavers ball on the premises.
But careful not to be outdone, fellow pupils arrived in fire engines, vintage cars, and even a lorry.
Girls scooped up their glamorous ball gowns to climb down from a special pink fire engine, and were even chauffeured by their very own fireman for the occasion.
The more traditional limousine also rolled up to the prom, which was masquerade themed.

Hundreds of cheering families turned out to mark the event which students at the Worcester Road school have been looking forward to for months, as their sons and daughters spruced up for a very special evening.
Headteacher Rob Hatch said the night had required all hands on deck, in order to transform the school into a magical venue.
He said: "The event has a wonderful community feel about it because it is probably the only prom in the area to be held on school premises.
"Both staff and students from The Grange put in a great deal of effort for the night and transformed the hall and canteen to fit in with the theme.
"The students themselves looked wonderful and a fantastic evening was had by all."
The students were given the red carpet treatment and entered the school through a specially made archway, in the shape of a mask.
Then they were treated to a buffet and dancing, and even provided the food themselves.
Jill Lock, head of Year 11, said: "While a lot of hard work had been put in by the staff, the students themselves played a massive part in the success of the evening.
"Not only did they vote for the masquerade theme themselves but the food was essentially provided by the pupils through various fundraising activities held during the year, all in aid of the prom.
"The girls looked lovely and glamorous, and all the lads were beautifully groomed in their dinner suits. It was a really good, positive end to the year.
"After all the recent exams and the hard work which goes with them, it was a fitting end for the students as they say farewell to the Grange."
