Mr Morris, 57, said: "I've had hundreds of e-mails and messages about the gallery and asking about Shrewsbury.

"I have been taken amateur photographs for many years and digital ones for the last five or six years.

"I like doing low light photos when it's dusk and I thought it would be nice to capture some of the buildings in Shrewsbury.

"At dusk, not many people are about because they have come home from work and it's before the revellers go out. I took one on Claremont Hill and no one was there at all. It's a nice time when it's going to dusk.

"Shrewsbury is beautiful. In October half term it was very foggy and it looks lovely with the old buildings and that's what attracts people.

"I have had so many messages from people asking for prints and people ask how I took the shots. I had a message from a lady from Minnesota who said one of her ancestors came from Shrewsbury and in 1671 he went to Maryland. She wanted to use the photos for a family gathering which is nice.

"I have had so many people from all round the world saying how much they love Shrewsbury and some say they normally just go through it but now they will stop."
