Volkswagen campervans arrive for vintage show
Hundreds of vintage Volkswagen campervans have arrived in the grounds of Weston Park for the annual Camper Jam.
The event is aimed at owners and lovers of the iconic VW Bus in all its models and types and this weekend's celebration – the seventh – promises to be a sell-out. Enthusiasts have travelled from across the UK and Europe for the event, and those who arrived early enjoyed a themed Onesies party last night and the promise of live music and a party atmosphere over the rest of the weekend. Shelley Bond, events manager at Weston Park, said: "Camper Jam takes the idea of the VW weekend right back to basics – great people in great buses having a great time."
Camping is now sold out but guests can still visit for the day.
Highlights of the weekend will include VW displays, trade areas, a food village, real ale and cider tents and bungee trampolines.
Other attractions at the event will include a cooking in a campervan to test entrants' recipes and enginuity in food preparation in a small space.
For younger VW fan there is a fun fair and treasure hunts among other attractions.
